Italy's High Performance Academy has been running since 1998 and was created with the technical expertise of the A.C. Perugia youth system. More than 25 years later it is one of the country's leading talent identification centres, with a professional methodology and a global scouting network that has worked with clubs such as Empoli FC.
At its Perugia facilities players join the Talent Identification Programme, where their technical, physical and mental development is worked on individually under coaches holding the UEFA Pro licence. The programme goes beyond training: it includes career management, professional guidance and real exposure to professional and semi-professional European clubs.
